• The idea of God and religion as we know it devalues human life. I, for one, am IN LOVE with being alive here in this present time and place. Even when things get shitty, I am still hopeful and ecstatic to still be here. There is this belief that there is a luxury in dying and you will be forgiven and therefore, who cares if you take responsibility for your OWN actions here on Earth?
• SCIENCE-the bible contradicts that the Earth is round and says that Earth is the center of the universe. Also, no evidence of Jesus. 
• The idea of God is really just a play on a projection of our parents. So when we are children, we are ignorant to the world around us, helpless, look to our parents on guidance for everything. They in turn know everything we’ve done, punish us accordingly, and are supposed to give us unconditional love. Sound familiar?
• It’s a cultural matter. Why do we have terms like ‘greek mythology’. I’m sure their gods were as real to them as this version. Religion comes around and dies out like everything else. 
• Believers can deny their own personal freedom. Sex is a sin if you’re unwed, be ashamed of your body if you’re a woman, stay in the worst abusive relationship because divorce is wrong. 
• Oh, we shouldn’t worry about things because “God will take care of it.” Don’t be proactive in getting justice for the man who murdered your family because God will take care of it. Don’t develop any personal moral rules for yourself because God has taken care of that for you. 
• You can pray to God for verifiable things and it most likely will not be answered. I saw a show on how this man prayed to God to be healed and this church told him to donate to the church and if he belief was strong enough, he’d be healed. So the day came and guess what? The man WASN’T healed. And the church said it was because he didn’t believe enough. So fucking sick; I cried. But this happens all the time because people get so unhappy that they want to believe in this escapism of God and a “better place”. It’s so incredibly sad to see people do this to themselves, it’s nearly destructive if not destructive to some. Humans are delusional all the time with things everyday outside of religion, the brain can’t help it.
• Look at all of the deaths and wars and terrorism because people believed TOO MUCH in their God. Like what the fuck is that about if God is supposed to be this all loving guidance?
